Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said on Thursday he would “definitely” be running for president if he were single but is still considering the idea.
Cuban, who had stated previously he’d consider a run for the White House, made the comments at a business conference in Atlanta, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution. Cuban has been critical of President Donald Trump, going to back to the fellow reality TV’s star’s presidential campaign.
“It is something I’m seriously considering,” Cuban said. “If I was single, I’d definitely be running.”
Cuban, who said he’s an independent, detailed how that could happen.
“Maybe I run as an independent,” Cuban said. “I don’t know. I’m for smaller government. I think there is a healthcare solution.”
Cuban has been Commander in Chief on the small screen. Producers had originally sought Trump to play the role for 2015’s Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No, which eventually went to Cuban.
